Black Press Media is looking for a Publisher/Sales manager for the Terrace Standard, a local media leader, that has built its extensive regional audience across newspaper, digital and social with trusted local news and community reporting.
The ideal candidate possesses outstanding leadership and communication skills and has a passion for community journalism and community involvement. We are looking for an individual who possesses strong sales abilities and experience, as well as leadership qualities and attributes. Experience in the community media industry is an asset; as is an understanding of business operations, financial management with a commitment to fiscal responsibility, and bottom-line accountability. Our top priority is an individual who will take ownership and pride in the overall operation.
The successful candidate will have:
- A demonstrated history of sales and leadership success
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy, including good working skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Excellent project management skills
- Motivated individual with proven initiative and determination
